This is a site where I am hoping I can give a bit more information about myself and about what I stand for.
I will distribute fliers and put adverts in the paper as well. With about 2000 households in the area, spread from Kirkwall Harbour to the Hall of Clestrain, I think you will understand that it will not be possible for me to visit every household. I will, however, distribute my phone number and will gladly call people back or visit those people who would like to discuss things with me. I hope you find the site answers the questions you needed to find out. If not, please feel free to call me on 875969.

- I am 43 and married to Vanda. We have 3 kids and we live on a small farm near the airport. I have been a councillor for the past 5 years and I also grow turf and work part time at landscaping and gardening. I was born and brought up on a farm in St Ola, and worked in Orkney until I was 21. Then I travelled and worked in other places and then went to university in Aberdeen, where I got a degree in Geography. I stayed on in Aberdeen for another 4 years before returing to Orkney in 1998. I worked at gardening and as a councillor from 1999 to 2003 before leaving to work for DialaBus for 4 years. I am happy and contented in Orkney and proud I come from here. This is why I care about the place and want to contribute to keeping it as good as it is, or making it better.
Should OIC start a new campaign with the public called - What 3 things could the council do to make Orkney better for you?
